What are your fees?

Ms. Etchison's time and service is what we offer, and making an appointment with her is viewed as a verbal arrangement for her time. Unfortunately, when a client does not honor their scheduled appointment, this costs our office valuable time and money - time that could have been given to another client in need, money that we need to keep our doors open and costs as low as possible. This is a small business, and to prevent loss of time and money due to clients no-showing or cancelling at the last minute, the full amount of the session will be charged when the client schedules an appointment. We feel this will minimize the number of people not respecting the reservation they have made with Ms. Etchison.

We charge what are usual and customary rates; however, fees do vary depending on the service provided.

What if I can't pay at the time of service?
NOTICE:
-
ALL clients are required to provide and maintain a valid credit card on file prior to scheduling any appointment.
-
Monthly packages are charged on the first of each month. To upgrade or change your plan, you must do so in writing before the first of each month.

For clients with a balance on their account, we reserve the right to assess a monthly finance charge, in accordance with Arkansas Law, for any balance not paid in full after 30 days. After 60 days, we may report the delinquency to an attorney or collection agency. You will also be responsible for all fees, late charges, and administrative fees associated with the collection of your debt.

*If you are unable to pay your balance in full, please call the office at 501-868-4900 to make other arrangements.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, money orders, debit or credit cards, and payment via PayPal (@angelaetchison) or Venmo (@aboundpsych)...payable at the time of appointment. Note that a $35.00 fee will be charged for each returned check or debit card overdraft in addition to the owed amount.

In the event of an overpayment, the new credit on account will be automatically applied to future sessions. Clients, however, may request a refund in writing. All refunds will be paid by check and mailed to the address on file unless otherwise requested. Please note that if you request a refund, a 3% reprocessing fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
Do you accept insurance?
Ms. Etchison currently accepts Aetna, Ambetter, Blue Cross & Blue Shield (and all of its affiliates), Cigna, HealthSCOPE, and QualChoice. However, we are in the process of transitioning to private pay only in order to better serve our clients and provide excellent quality care.

In the meantime, as a courtesy to you, we will continue to verify your in-network insurance benefits prior to your first appointment. If we are a contracted provider with your insurance, there is generally an agreed-upon reimbursement rate for services. Your copay, coinsurance, or deductible payment is not determined by us but by your insurance policy and is due at the time of service provided. You will be expected to pay the full allowable amount your insurance lists for us prior to the appointment. This varies per insurance and policy. Many clients may have 50-100% of the cost of their session covered by their insurance after they have met their deductible.
For all other insurances that we are out of network, you will be required to pay the private pay rate in full at the time the appointment is scheduled. We will provide a receipt of services, upon request, that you may submit to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement. You may need prior approval for mental health services, or you may not. It is advised that you call your insurance company to verify your out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health services.
Please be aware that filing for services is NO GUARANTEE for payment.
What is your cancellation & no-show policy?
There is a fee of $110 per scheduled hour for any appointment cancelled with less than 24 business hours notice as well as any appointment missed. This fee will be billed to the valid credit card on file (required to schedule appointments).

If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, for any reason, please 1) call our office at 501-868-4900 with at least 24 business hours (1 business day) advance notice and leave a message or 2) email angela@aboundpsych.com and write "Cancel Appointment" in the email subject line.
Clients with a monthly wellness package will receive NO REFUND or credit on account with less than 24 business hours notice provided. Exceptions may be made for serious illness or medical emergencies.
Any client arriving 16 minutes late or later will be regarded as a no-show and will be charged the cancellation fee.
Clients with 3 improperly rescheduled/cancelled or missed appointments will be discharged and no longer able to schedule an appointment.

While we do not like implementing such a policy, it is necessary to ensure that Ms. Etchison's limited availability is not wasted.

NOTE: Insurance will NOT pay for missed appointments.
Is my information kept confidential?
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be shared or disclosed without your written permission. Exceptions to this, however, include:

-
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
-
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s.
-
If a client intends to harm himself or herself.
How long do I need therapy?
It depends. The length of time a client participates in therapy depends on their unique challenges, goals, and personal progress. Everyone is different.
